Oppo - post your car. Any car. I do not care. Let's get some of the love back.

I have been in a passive mode for oppo and jalopnik since starting my new job. I have since noticed a surge of hateful and antagonistic posts and comments. I do not know where this has come from but I would like to think the place I considered a sanctuary when I was in a dead end job would remain a safe haven for all who love nothing more than the feel of a set of pedals under their feet and a steering wheel at hand. Apparently without my stewardship, this can not happen. With that in mind, here is my old Riviera, Jessica. I miss her a lot. But she was, and always will be, my preferred car for drag racing. No one can ever take her place between the cost overall, and the amount of luxury I got on my way to sub 14s in the 1/4.

Smaller pulley, CAI, and that was it.

It was a camera car for woodward races for my friends. Also known as "the lounge" because 4 guys had plenty of room to lounge around in it. We'd hit IHOP around 3 am or so after my friend dan filled up his camera with race footage.

The good ol' T-bird. Pretty much everything attached to the front wheels needed an overhaul, at the same time we ended up with a baby on the way and little money or a good place to put it while I fixed it. So the poor bird was sold. Now I drive a freaking Sonata.

It isn't just about what happened this past week, I've seen a lot more........questionable.....behavior in the past month than I have before. And let's not forget that what triggered the temporary ban was one member of oppo pointing out the ignorance of some other "members" which led to accusations and general BS between the two even though there was a valid point to be made.

Did this ever happen when I was a regular poster and commenter? No. Clearly I am a key component of the glue that holds oppo together.

They're both gigantic pains in the ass. The Jag is currently charging at 16-18 volts when it's not charging at 11, only has one working fuel tank (and the gauge doesn't work on the good side), and three of the tires leak. The Corvair doesn't have a working radio or speedometer and leaks oil everywhere. I love them both dearly, haha.

The rivera was such a beauty. I'm sad the fuel tank issues made me get rid of her. In any rainy weather, water got into the tank thanks to a rotted lock ring.

H-handling flaws?

WHAT ARE THESE FLAWS YOU SPEAK OF?

No seriously, thats kind of a vague category of flaws. Ive had it for about three months so far and its so far so good. Had to get a O2 Sensor replaced but that was it. Only had one owner that put about 92k miles on it prior to me.

It is a midsized sedan without high performance struts or anything. It has "handling flaws" but some grippy tires will alleviate those problems while letting the car tell you when it is about to run out of grip. The gradual loss of grip at higher G's will be noticeable and you can adjust accordingly. That way you can drive it hard without killing everyone inside the car.
